We had a false alarm from our mains-powered smoke detectors at 10.00pm on Thursday night, and was advised by our alarm monitoring company that the detectors were at the end of their 10 year certified life, and needed replacing by an electrician. I sent a message to Liam Langley at 10.20pm, and he responded immediately. He arranged for the re-fitting of all the detectors to be done the next day, and they were all fitted very efficiently by 1.00 on that Friday. This was truly superb service, and was another example of the first class service we have always had from Liam and LEC.

I contacted Liam to enquire about an EV charger installation. He was prompt with his replies and very informative during our first conversation on the phone. He punctual and thorough with his site visit and once we had a date booked in, his team were very well organised with great workmanship and excellent standard of work. Very happy with Liam and his whole team, Louie and Nathan, thank you very much.

Liam was extremely helpful, friendly and very flexible throughout the process, from initial contact, quoting for the work, fixing the appointment and doing the work. He was professional and knowledgeable, offered options and guidance, as well as being cost-conscious and trying to limit the extra expense when in fact the job turned out to be bigger than expected. He was polite and easy-going, interesting to talk with and a pleasure to have visit my home. To my layman's eyes he did a great job, didn't leave any mess, and helpfully gave tips on further jobs, which I'll gladly follow up with him.

I've used Liam Langley previously for three big electrical jobs: new storage heaters; a new circuit board; and a new immersion heater. This time I wanted a very small electrical job. The pull-cord on my bathroom light switch had stopped working. I had tried repairing it (taking it down, cleaning it so that it 'clicked' again), but every time I tried to reassemble it in the ceiling, gravity would win and various bits fell out and ended up on the floor. I admitted defeat and - somewhat embarrassed - contacted Liam. It wasn't too small a job and two friendly chaps did it in minutes.
