Our electrical sub contractors conducted an EICR at your property as per your request and found a fault resulting in the test failing, we provided you with a quotation via email for the required works which you accepted. On their 2nd visit they removed a majority of the sockets in the kitchen/utility to trace the cause of the fault and repair it, they re-tested the circuit as per regulations and issued a passed certificate. Due to the unpredictability of this type of fault finding work it’s impossible to put a time frame on so we provide a fixed price fee of £225+vat for an electrician because other work isn’t booked alongside this, we constantly review this to ensure we are competitive, the work conducted could take 30mins or 2 days but the fixed price wouldn’t have increased. They were also able to complete the work quicker due to 2 electricians attending rather than just the one quoted for. Hopefully this explains the situation although we have tried to do this in numerous telephone conversations and emails with yourself. We’re happy to note that you have no problems with their workmanship or reliability.
