The boss told me over the phone that a replacement compressor would cost me £100 and talked me into letting the engineers come to have a look. The engineers came late & didn’t apologise. This wasn’t an urgent job but they still charged £60 to come give a quote. They didn’t know what was wrong so while they were looking at the fridge they were on the phone asking someone else’s opinion. I was then quoted £250 plus labour as well as £60 I had already paid. Which is a long way off what he originally quoted.
