Led us to believe work would take some weeks and more would be done. We would strongly recommend getting a detailed estimate in writing before proceeding - our mistake and to our cost.

I searched in Check a Trade for a damp proofer and within an hour David called me and arranged to come and check our property for us the next day. He came to check our property yesterday and straight away noticed that the issue was our outside wall which had to be repointed. He tested the inside walls too with an electric damp meter. He gave us a very reasonable quote for repointing the wall and even advised us on how to damp proof our property in the future. ( Always get gutters checked once a year, leave windows open during the day to air the house etc. ) I would definitely recommend David.

Prior to start of works, David identified several issues which were likely causes of damp in our property. During the works he identified many other issues (some where other professionals had been hired to remedy but hadn't or bodged the work, Inc roofers) and rectified the problem areas correctly using appropriate materials and additives. He worked hard to remedy anything he could find causing damp. Works included pointing, sealing ext walls, filling gaps and cracks, mastic, new mortar on loose tiles, plastering, ext paint. Time and rain will tell how effective the treatment is. Would use/recommend.

Was very pleased with the work. Other quotes I had said the wall needed to be knocked down and rebuilt. David repaired it perfectly at a fraction of the cost.
