The issue to be fixed was our flush was sometimes getting stuck which meant the water kept flowing after a flush. This work provided by Mark was completely unacceptable. Mark came and spent 15 min "oiling" the flush. He charged £60 for this, which I paid. The flush then broke completely 2 days later. Mark came again and replaced the flush. He changed £96 for this, which I paid but flush is still sticking. Mark said he would come to fix but never did. After 1 month and £156 we remain in the same position as I started- flush sticking. I've now asked a new plumber to come and fix the issue
Response from Mark Duffield Plumbing & Heating
I went to customer’s house to look at a sticking toilet push button which I cleaned scale off a greased cable and tested several times and was fine.
A week or so later customer said button was broken it had cracked in half, so I got a replacement fitted and tested it and sent invoice.
After 3 weeks or so and a couple of chase ups for payment customer said it was too much and didn’t want to pay, then he texts to say button was sticking again so I said I’ll try and call in that week unfortunately didn’t get there due to emergencies so was going to call in the following week.
I then got a rude text on Saturday night telling me basically to do one and threatened me to stay away from his house and he was going to get someone else.
Sunday morning, he text to say he’d paid so I thanked him.
I’m sorry he feels like this and I had every intention of calling in to sort the problem, but I feel he didn’t give me enough time.
