Mark has done a fantastic job of repairing the window arches and other damaged / weathered bricks - all in keeping with our period property. We did not hesitate to hire Mark after seeing some of the other high quality brickwork (blended to the Victorian / Edwardian features) he had completed on neighbouring homes.

Mark is so easy to work with and does a great job . Very professional pointing and bricking improved appearance of our property. Price was very fair and timing and plan stuck to completely - just what you want in a builder.

Mark first spent a lot time making sure that the right materials were chosen, including reusing some of the original bricks. He discussed how they would carry out the work, listened to my comments and made suggestions. He and Steve did an amazing job rebuilding my wall, taking great care to restore the original structure and details. They worked steadily and thoroughly, always clearing up each day before they went home. It was a challenging job so I am delighted with the result. So many neighbours have stopped to admire it and asked who did the work. I can really recommend Matthews Brickwork.

Mark was great to work with. He responds quickly to any queries and from initial enquiry to work being done was less than 2 weeks. More importantly the quality of the repointing is great and one or two other jobs that sprung up on the day (gutter repairs) were done without question and within the original quote. If we need any work done around the house or garden that Mark can do then he will be our 1st and only choice.

Mark did a great job repairing our high Victorian brick wall + brick pillar. Both now look really good. The wall had large crack due to nearby tree. Mark fitted metal braces and expertly filled in the crack. A number of bricks had badly worn, Mark repaired them with great skill. + The repointing work was excellant. Very neat. Before the work commenced, Mark provided us with clear info regarding our possible options. We would highly recommend Mark.
