Got a call within minutes of listing the job on Checkatrade. They managed to organise it for the following morning and did a great job.

Couldn’t believe how quickly Mayfair got in touch after I posted. - probably less than a minute. They were very clear about costs and also that they had an offer for the first hour of labour. I didn’t immediately choose them as wanted to hear back from others but as soon as one of the other companies started talking about how they needed to do a survey I went back to Mayfair and booked them in. Arrival was the next day. Plumber looked at the job which was a junction from a water pipe, nipped to Screwfix to get the parts and was back and done in 30 minutes. Everything working great.

This company was only hired due to an unexpected problem with a shower late in the evening during the heatwave. Engineer arrived next day to inspect, and not capable of accurate assessment or pricing. Incorrect pricing given which was later increased and blamed on me. Advised expensive work which has not resolved the fault. Work supposed to be guaranteed for 12 months but company is money grabbing and looking for more opportunity to extract cash.
