M Cook & Son Roofing - Great Overall Experience
The M Cook & Son team undertook roofing works including replacing flashing, guttering and a bay window roof. The provision of guarantees and refusal to do things cheap impressed me, so I decided to go for the M Cook & Son experience. I am glad I did because, despite some interruptions due to weather, they were great. H, J and Bonnie were superb! Alison and Pete kept me informed and pushed things along when needed. I am happy with the finished product and my neighbour is also impressed. Would definitely use again but fortunately / unfortunately don't think I will need to for a long while!Job location: E410 Leadworks Repair

Reliable and trustworthy
I've used Peter before so knew that he would be trustworthy and reliable. He diagnosed the issue - where the leak on the roof was coming from - and got back with a quote soon after. Work was carried out swiftly and neatly, tidied up after.Verified reviewerJob location: E1710 Emergency Roofing Service

No Hassle
Peter and his colleagues were polite, answered all enquiries and kept us informed - especially as my mum is elderly. They cleared up and took all the rubbish.Job location: E410 Roofing Repairs

First class service and outstanding quality of work
Peter was excellent, he arrived when he said he would and got straight to work. He very quickly resolved the issue with my roof with a high quality fix and I am very pleased with the results. I will be in touch again with him if I need any further work done and I can thoroughly recommended his services.Verified reviewerJob location: CM1710 Chimneys Repair

With over 57 years of experience, we are a well‑established, family‑run roofing company. Our business began in 1967 when my father, Michael, founded the company after completing his training with the London Borough of Waltham Forest. He built the business on strong values of quality, reliability and honest workmanship — values we proudly continue today.
We specialise in all aspects of domestic roofing, including:
- Flat roofs
- New tiled and slate roofs
- Roofing repairs
- Lead work (qualified in Lead Bossing & Welding)
- General roof maintenance
A large percentage of our work comes through recommendations, reflecting the pride and care we put into every project. We firmly believe we are only ever as good as our last job.
Our Family StoryI joined my dad Michael in 1985, learning every part of the roofing trade. In 2002 we entered full partnership and formed the Ltd Company.
After my parents retired in 2013, my wife Alison joined the business, and our son Harry also joined us the same year, beginning his roofing training.
In 2021, our son Jake joined the company, and Harry has since been able to pass on his knowledge and experience to him.
Our youngest son Ollie, who worked with us during school holidays and for work experience, has been full‑time since 2025, completing the next generation of our family team.
We are proud to remain a strong multi‑generation roofing company, continuing the high standards set by my father Michael over five decades ago.
