Garage conversion into a gym, needing insulation of the roof, creation of ceiling with downlights
Marc was extremely helpful in discussing the different options to consider budget but also ensuring the needs are met. He suggested a great solution of having a raised ceiling to accommodate the tall gym rack. He managed the coordination of the installation of the lights. Great communication throughout with the job done on time to high attention to detail and high quality.

New flat roof, Brickwork, New doors, Blockwork, Insulation, Plastering, Floor screeding
With a flat roof pouring in over 60 Ltrs in a bad downpour we needed someone at short notice, We was given the number from a friend of MJ Darby, Mark came round looked at was was going on and within a day or so we received the quote, the quote was good for the level of work which was needed including building control help and advise. Once we agreed the quote it was a matter of days before they arrived and was followed by a material delivery. No messing around the jobs got done, the mess all cleaned up and the bill didn't go up by £1 ! Glad to have met them for sure will be back when needed.

Repair and replace wooden flooring
Mark repaired and replaced part of a wooden floor. After initial contact he promptly visited, reviewed the job and quoted. We arranged a date. He turned up at the time he said he would and completed a good job. I would happily recommend MJ Darby builders

Replacement gutters and down pipes and provision of roofers for a flat roof and repainting outside of house
Mark has always been most helpful in not only pricing up a particular job but also offering his experience and knowledge in how best to carry out a project with best practice and advice, having used his services over many years I can fully recommend Mark as being a builder of high quality and one who keeps his word and provides frequent updates on each stage of the work being undertaken, he has carried out a multitude of tasks at our house and we have been very satisfied with everything completed to date.

Concrete base for a shed
Mj Darby executed what was requested fast, with precision, competence and professionality. They came to my place for the initial inspection and completed the job in less than two weeks. They were extremely organised, dealing directly with the skip and the dig services. They were keen to revisit the initial plan when they discovered that there was a sewer under the soil. At the end of the job, they took care of cleaning inside the garden and around my property, leaving everything nice and clean. For sure, we are extremely satisfied with the service provided and happy to recommend them.
