  I received a quote from MM building and construction after having the work explained to me in layman's terms. They turned up when they said they would, did the job that was promised to my satisfaction, and charged me a fair price as per the quote. What more could be asked of a builder, very professional and I'm happy with the work.

  Mike and his team managed the complete build for us from finding an architect and submitting plans to providing rendering in the required colour. As ideas for the interior evolved, his flexible approach meant that changes in design could be easily incorporated and we have ended up with a room even better than we had hoped. The team worked really hard to make sure that the interior was useable for Christmas. The final finish of the build and the creation of the outside space was then done to a very high standard. The team fitted everything from patterned floor tiles to a spiral staircase.

  Mikel and his crew have returned my faith in the building trade. I have been hit badly by fly by nights and cowboys for years. A refreshing change then to find a firm that conducts itself with professionalism and puts the client at the focal point of its attention. The work carried out was first rate and although I had ideas, they offered solutions to problems and improved aesthetics to provide a finish beyond expectation for kitchen, patio and basement renovations. The MM team conduct themselves in a warm and friendly manner. I have no hesitation in recommending them for a 5 star service.

• Investigate leaking roof, then completely replace roof and create attic room with all interior works

  Not long after work started dry rot was found and the roof needed replacing. Michael has vision and great ideas which we were able to incorporate into a design for an attic room as our plans had suddenly changed. The team completed the work in the timescale expected, with all carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering done to a very high standard, at all times being sensitive to working in our home - they even had a door key. Michael provided a detailed competitive quote and communicated well at all stages of the build as the situation evolved. We recommend this firm and will use them again.

  Throughout the entire process communication was excellent, Mike was always quick to respond and very helpful with any questions. His team worked hard every day Mon-Fri and the occasional weekend and in four weeks the majority of the work was completed which was the original timescale. There was some delay in the finishing touches to the work but again Mike communicated this well and ensured that all the work was finished to a high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and his team to anyone.

  Michael got back to me very quickly regarding the above jobs, very good communication. He also called to advise me to get an electrician out for a different problem we had which other builders had not mentioned. I was really grateful of his advice. The ceiling job was carried out well, good plastering. There was a slight issue with the finished painting but this was quickly resolved. The radiator was hung well and made safe.
