First class job at a great price.
Matt visited and provided a very competitive price for the job (7 internal doors to be supplied and fitted). He engaged with us throughout the process and made sure we were happy with the doors and accessories for the job. Matt turned up on the days agreed and did a first class job, Following our instructions to a tee and leaving no mess after. Matt treated us with respect and answered any queries we had, explaining anything we were not sure of. We have no hesitation in recommending Matt for any carpentry work and will definitely be using his services again.Verified reviewerJob location: TA8RGerald C9 Door Fitting / Hanging

Fantastic workmanship
I am so pleased with the nine oak doors that Matt fitted for me. He sourced both the doors and handles, and the quality was fantastic. His workmanship was exceptional, with great attention to detail and a really high standard of finish. Matt was friendly, reliable, and completely trustworthy. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will definitely be calling on him again for future work. Even my dogs took a liking to him, which is always a bonus! Thanks again, Matt.Verified reviewerJob location: BS2210 Carpenter

Full swap of internal doors
Great job done with 11 internal doors (including cupboard doors that required cutting down to size). Sorted out a door frame for me too that was warped so that the door properly closed. Would recommendVerified reviewerJob location: TA8RJasmine D10 Door Fitting / Hanging

Skilled carpenter with attention to detail
Matt gave good advice on materials needed before the job commenced. Matt was punctual, polite and professional on the day of fitting 6 internal oak doors for me. I was impressed with the work done, his craftsmanship and his knowledge regarding the aftercare needed to the doors. My house was left clean and tidy after the installation. I am booking Matt again to sort some doors that don't close properly by a previous carpenter and would recommend his services to anyone. Thanks Matt :-)Verified reviewerJob location: BS22RJustin S

Hi, I'm Matt Thorne, a carpenter in Bridgwater with 20 years in the trade, NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds qualified. Doors, floors, staircase refurbishments and media walls for homes across Bridgwater and Somerset.
One man, start to finish. I do the work myself and nothing's subbed out, so the standard on the last day is the standard on the first. I turn up when I say I will, and I clear up inside and out before I go.
What I take on:
- Internal and external doors fitted: PVC, timber and composite, with handles and hinges
- Flooring: LVT, laminate and engineered board
- Skirting, architrave and frames
- Media walls and faux chimney breasts
- Staircase refurbishment
- Fitted wardrobes, built-in storage and shelving units
- Kitchen fitting and worktops
- Timber wall partitions
- Decking and cladding
- Fascias, soffits and guttering
I cover about a 45-minute drive from Bridgwater: Taunton, Wellington, Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, Street, Glastonbury and the villages in between. I don't take work in Bristol itself.
Every quote starts with me coming to see the job. Free quotes, no obligation.
Thanks,
Matt
