  • Self assembly of faulty chairs.

    We had bought 2 self assembly wooden chairs but both were faulty! But having advertised on Checkatrade the first 3 firms failed to offer help so I advertised a 2nd time and just one contacted me & Nigel came to my rescue... & boy was he good!! Nothing was too much for him, he took both chairs to pieces & made one good chair then took the other back with him & the very next day, lo & behold, he presented the second chair! So we were very pleased with his service & won't hesitate to use his services again if needed & certainly will recommend him to others! We gave him 10/10 but he deserved 11!!

    We used NBC for internal doors in March and will highly recommend. Nigel and Bill were kind and did a great job. Ensured that we were happy with the work they did. The costing was brilliant and there wasn't any hidden costs with broken down invoice. We will certainly be using NBC again in the coming months for more work we need doing in our house.

  • Engineered and installed several hatches and a door

    This was the third time we used Bill and Nigel to fix a couple of things, and again, we were very happy with the result. They created several hatches for the various openings, engineered and installed a double folding door with a tricky shape to form a cupboard for the boiler, and fixed a new oak shelf for the vintage wardrobe.

    This is the third time Nigel and Bill we've used Nigel and Bill for carpentry services and we've always been really pleased with the work. On this occasion they replaced our broken loft hatch and fitted a new ladder as well as repairing a floorboard. Great quality workmanship and a friendly service.

    Nigel and Bill responded to my enquiry the same day and arranged an initial appointment shortly after. After an immediate feeling of confidence I asked them to book me in to install new bannisters where there had never been any. They explained clearly various options and listened to my inputs advising me on all the pros and cons. During the job Bill and Nigel made what would normally be a minor upheaval to a pleasure, as a single female I felt totally at ease. I would not hesitate to recommend NBC and plan on using them again for all future carpentry jobs.
