  Ripped off a wall before checking a light switch

  Came to estimate the cost of fixing the lights in my dining room. His fault finding led to him ripping a 1m2 of plaster off my wall before checking whether the lightswitch was broken. He stated that some prior workers "must have severed a cable" and that he would need to cut of the plasterboard to locate the wire to see if it could be rejoined. Having found nothing he THEN checked the light switch and realised that was issue. No apologies given, no responsibility taken. Avoid like the plague.

Our engineer attended to provide quotes, advised that an EICR was not required, and followed a correct and safe fault‑finding process after your plasterer damaged a cable. All chasing and investigation were carried out with your permission, and the engineer explained each step clearly. He remained professional throughout and ensured your lights were left working. Your ratings do not reflect the service provided or our strong 20‑year record of five‑star customer satisfaction.

  Storage Heating

  To remove an old storage heater that had ceased to work, and replace it with a new storage heater.

  Newton were clear in their communications. They were on time for appointments, and responded quickly to queries. Quotes were well defined and properly itemised. Rob was cheerful, polite and efficient. We were very pleased with the work, and would have no hesitation in dealing with Newton again.
