  Bunch of chancers

  Did a terrible job, charged way more than the original estimate. ADDITION [28.08.2026] - Upon further reflection, my initial zero-rating was overly harsh and driven by frustration. While we had a minor communication breakdown, the underlying quality of the work completed was actually sound. The tradespeople were skilled, and the final result has held up well. I regret framing them as untrustworthy and want to clarify that the technical standard of their work was not the issue here.

  What a lovely transformation.

  NMF Surfacing did a fantastic job on the new driveway and drop kerb extension.After being let down by another Groundworks company also from St Ives.Fred sorted out everything from getting permission from Highways dept for the extended drop kerb to the Traffic Light System needed on the main road when they extended the drop kerb.After having grass from our double gates to the footpath and road for the past 30 years Fred and his team in just over two days transformed it into a very nice tarmac drive with acu slot drainage now needed by law if your driveway slopes down to the road.
