Garden Landscaping
We asked for a quote to have our small back garden re landscaped and new patio/steps. When his quote came back it was double what we were quoted by a couple of other contractors. I said this was too high. This was the response I got! “there is no difference between the day rate price and this. ” (we were told the fixed price would be a lot more expensive when he came round!). “It is not going to change my life if you decide to go with the cheapest one and please feel free. Thank you for taking the time for leaving a review for us. I am sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations however you wanted a fix price so I tried my best to work the quote for your taste while being realistic with a hard access garden. I am not pricing cheap just to get the job so I can start charging you for the extras from day 1. By the way the 2 sentences you copied from my long e-mail I sent you is completely changing the tone of my e-mail so my e-mail and the quote is available for public if someone wants a better understanding of a 4 star review what we do not deserve.

New paving for front garden area
Using G&S was a great experience after some very poor ones in the past. Gary was very helpful throughout the process, in particular he was very thorough in regard to planning the work properly and involving me in all relevant decisions to made - the job involved matching the falls required to avoid puddling with fixed gradients of existing edging - Gary was careful to discuss all aspects of the work to ensure we ended up with the best possible solution.Verified reviewerJob location: RH1910 Landscape Contractor
