Gary Parkes (Parkes Home Preservation) was highly recommended on the Isle of Wight Community Facebook page by many people (Feb 2026) I had a cold bedroom wall which had paint continuously bubbling. Gary Parkes name kept coming up as very experienced, trusted and well liked.He was easy to contact. Gary is an extremely likeable and knowledgable gentleman. He was very reliable, turned up on time, clean and respectful of my home and finished installing a damp course and waterproof membrane within 2 days, cleaning up before leaving. We have discussed other projects as I have total faith in him

Gary was very professional and respectful of our home, we had damp issues which required our walls to be tanked. He carried out the works in good timely fashion and was always on time and left the house in a tidy condition. His pricing was very fair and the works were completed on time, would highly recommend A+++

Gary was recommended to us by our surveyor and replaced the wall ties, cleared out the cavities and improved ventilation with new air bricks. Everything was done on time and budget and all left very tidy when the job was done. Gary's experience, knowledge and work are great and we are happy to recommend him.
