Mr Perfect was employed to decorate my mother’s retirement flat in September, prior to her moving in. We were initially impressed by the promise of a top quality finish to his work and his obliging nature; nothing was too much trouble. To begin with, things went well but, after an extended deadline was needed, more money requested (and unfortunately paid), we have been left with a very poor painting job, the doors need caulking, and short skirting board replaced. He has acknowledged that the workmanship was way off the mark but despite a couple of visits, the work has still to be rectified.
Response from Perfect & Son's
I am very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service. Due to the dampness within the home, as advised, correcting some of the issues is not possible until this is rectified. Once the dampest has been rectified I am happy to return to re-finish these at no additional cost. I’m also happy to return for the two remaining issues, which we had agreed needed further attention, but were unable to resolve yet i.e. the missing skirting board and some of the paint work carried out by another tradesperson. Calls to your mother to return have gone unanswered. Whilst I do everything I can to come in on budget, as stated in other reviews, extra or additional work required after the job has been quoted/started, cannot be done for free. This was advised of during the works being undertaken and was completely understood along with it taking more time, so I am unsure as to why this is an issue or felt monies were required before the work would be finished. Please contact me via email so we can arrange a date for me to return and finish correcting the remaining issues. Thank you.
