Hi,
My name is Paul and I am the owner of PFW Plumbing Services. I am an advanced plumber who has worked in this industry for nearly 30 years. I have a wide range of Plumbing knowledge from fixing small leaks to full pipework installation on new homes starting at the first fix stage to finishing off at the 2nd fix stage. I specialise in bathroom installations from start to finish with a small team I have put together of joiners, electricians and tiler etc. I work on the basis that no job is too big or too small as every job I take on may lead to ongoing work from my customer.
I work to a very high standard and have great attention to detail I want everyone of my customers to be fully satisfied with the work I carry out for them and have no problem recommending me to friends and family. Full Piping/Plumbing replacement for a remodel
Paul Welsh of PFW plumbing contacted me about doing the plumbing for a renovation. His quote for labor was unusually high and he demanded £4000 up front. To me it sounded like a scam, and I would recommend that anyone dealing with Mr. Welsh should be very wary, and should insist that payments should be based on work completed.

The customer contacted me through Checkatrader not the other way around! I can only reply to someone on Checkatrader if they contact me! What he forgot to mention in his review is that the job wasn't anywhere near my home in Scotland nor was it even in the UK! he was wanting me to travel to Chicago in the USA!! And whilst I was there he wanted me or another unfortunate plumber who answered his advert to fully install 3 bathrooms, 2 combination boilers, a gas heater and not to mention a kitchen sink! I tried on a number of occasions to contact the customer but could never get hold of him it was his girlfriend that always seemed to answer his phone as he was always to busy. The total cost i sent for me going to the states to do all the above work was £8000 which I think was a good price and because I had trepidation about this job I asked for half up front. It wasn't a scam on my part not so sure I can say the same about the customer I would urge any plumbers or tradesmen to be very weary of him and the work he wants doing.

Paul completed all of the jobs to a very high standard. Paul worked to find the most practical and cost effective solutions for my issues which was hugely appreciated. Paul went above and beyond to get the job done quickly and to a high standard. I can't recommend highly enough.
Fix a broken toilet.
Tradesman Paul answered my call within 5 mins of contacting Checkatrade, although he couldn't fix the problem right away he advised me I needed a Drainage tradesman, he returned a few hours later to fix my faulty toilet. He was quick, friendly, professional and reasonable, would highly recommend.
Replaced broken shower and subsequent re-tilng
I have no hesitation recommending Paul. He is friendly, helpful and, importantly, reliable. Paul also went above and beyond to ensure I wasn't without a working shower despite having an already busy workload. I would definitely call him again in the future.
