We are extremely pleased with the work that Pete and his team have done on our house. We had walls taken out to create an open planned kitchen/diner, with everything completely gutted before having the new kitchen fitted. Everybody who worked on our house (structural engineer, builders, ground worker, plasterers, plumbers, electricians, carpenter, floorer) were friendly, professional, tidy and did an excellent job. Pete went out of his way to ensure minimum disruption to the rest of the house. He always responded promptly to any queries we had and kept to his word in terms of timings and cost.

Attended as promised and took down the old wall, keeping everything neat and tidy. The wall was rebuilt well and the capstone replaced on top. The pointing is tidy and we are extremely pleased with it. We were left with no mess at all. Recommended.

We got a few quotes for the work and settled on P J Bartlett. He was somewhere around the middle price-wise, but we liked him more than the others. It was quite a substantial bit of work, taking one whole supporting corner of the house away and replacing it with two massive bits of steel. From Jim (ground work), to Kev (bricklayer), Reece (electrician), Tom (plumber), Darren (carpenter), with Zack helping out, we were more than delighted with every single stage of the work. So impressed, we have even gone back and got various jobs done by the lads in his team. Absolutely recommended.

We were extremely impressed with Pete and his colleagues. We had our side garage demolished and a two storey extension built in its place. Pete was actually the cheapest quote we got, which made us a little worried about going with him. We needn't have worried, he was excellent. Him and his contractors were all lovely and helpful, tidy and extremely hard-working. He was very flexible, and happy with some things changing along the way. They stuck to budget and (roughly) to timescale. We were so impressed we got him to re-do the driveway at the end too.

P J Barlett have replaced an external retaining wall in my elderly parents garden. From the first contact Pete has been brilliant and conscious of the fact that they are elderly ensuring all communication was through me. The work is excellent staff professional throughout. Kept me informed of time scales throughout and met them. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you .

Highly recommend Pete and his team, project has flown past, stuck to his word (and price) and overall it's been a low hassle, low pressure job. At the same time very professional and it's the tidiest site i've seen.
