Very slow to diagnose problem but appears to be correct.
Then required us to source the part: He said he would send us the details. He hadn't taken the model and serial; we had to do this . We found the part and bought it. He said he would come to fit it. This didn't happen.
We fitted the part with difficulty. I am 80 years old and partially disabled.
Luckily I am an experienced technician and my wife is competant or the job would not be completed. I would not recommend this person to anyone. He may be a competant technician but he is a completely inadequate in other respects.

I’m pleased that the fault diagnosis proved to be correct and that the replacement part resolved the freezer problem. Unfortunately, after the replacement part arrived, I was attending a family funeral and was therefore unable to return as originally planned. I did communicate this to you and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.
I understand this was frustrating, particularly as you wanted the repair completed as soon as possible.
