    Fixing a flush

    A great experience. The original engineer scheduled was sick but I was informed about the change as soon as possible, and the professional, friendly staff did a fantastic job of rescheduling in a way to keep in line with a very short timeframe I had. It is a rare thing when you deal with a company that turns up on time, does a good job and where it is a pleasure to talk to all their employees!

    Fixing defective bath and WC cistern fittings

    Putney Plumber’s Richard arrived as agreed and soon allayed my fear that the replacement of a very elderly shower/bath fitting would lead to the replacement of the bath as well. Not only was I extremely pleased with his courtesy, efficiency, workmanship - and the final cost, but I had no hesitation in contacting Putney Plumbers 6 months later to fix problems with a WC cistern. Definitely recommended.

    Fit new kitchen sink waste and trap.

    Outside waste pipe is high so difficult to fit and aware the flow of draining will be slow but leaks are dripping from the PVC joints. Slow leaks. Noticed when using wash machine. Contacted Putney Plumbers and not heard back from them. Not expected new fittings to leak. Bad customer service.

    Failed to keep an appointment they made for a new boiler quote

    Putney Plumbers were on Worcester Bosch’s list so they called me back almost instantly. Lots of good reviews here but they failed to keep the appointment to give me an estimate for a new boiler. Their loss, not mine. Or perhaps they’re too busy. New boiler installed by another contractor. I dread dealing with tradesmen as I suspect many do. Not sure how reliable the reviews on Checkatrade are, particularly in view of my experience with this lot.

    Our estimates are free of charge. Sometimes our engineers do get caught up on a job and we do have to reschedule appointments. On this occasion the engineer was caught on a gas leak and they are legally not allowed to leave the property until the gas leak has been resolved. We contacted the client as soon as we found out and explained the situation. We offered the next available appointment, which was for 8am the next morning. We do not like having to reschedule clients, and we do try to avoid this where possible, however sometimes the situation is beyond our control. And this was a free of charge estimate.
