  Drainage Investigation

  Posted 23 September

  Expensive

Simple job, lifted off lid of manhole. Cleared drain of debris (bits of slate caused by roofer) £150+Vat. Lid back on. A bit steep, I thought, but that was the hourly rate even though it only took him 20 minutes. He also told me after writing out the bill, the manhole needed repair work and quoted me £975+ Vat with an the remark that if I don’t have it repaired within the next 6 months, it could be an even bigger problem. Why not show me when the lid was off I ask you?
