If anyone is looking for a roof repair in Newport or the surrounding area contact Rapid Roof Repairs. Chris and his team are great, they completed the repair on my roof in 1 day. They installed a complete top cap, repointed the chimney breast, replaced cracked slates and installed missing slates as well as cleaning off all the moss off. Rang Chris and he came for an emergency repair, as I had leaking problems around an old chimney. He came on the same day as I contacted him and came back when he had the right materials. I then had more problems as he continued to come and fix them very promptly. Sent me the pictures and video's and continued to check in to make sure everything was now sorted. Would never use again. Maybe okay for tiny patch up repairs but should not be doing full roofs and taking thousands from people for things they cannot do due to sheer incompetence. Took 11 visits and threats of legal action to get our roof to stop leaking. Stress i could’ve done without during pregnancy! Another company who saw the work said they shouldn’t be roofing. Admitted to cutting corners and sacked staff, whilst the boss goes on 4/5 holidays a year and sends his staff up regularly with no scaffolding. Contacted Rapid Roof Repairs after discovering pool of water in conservatory. They rang me back same day, came out the following day to diagnose problem, came back 3 days later and fixed the leak. They were efficient, polite and friendly. The job was supposed to be more involved, but as the job took less time, they knocked money off. There honesty and speed was appreciated. Couldn’t fault this company back in 2021 when I had major damage on my bay window on a property I bought, came and diagnosed and fixed the issue within a day. Contacted again in 2024 due to a separate issue arising, been given the run around for 3 days. Consistently having to chase up after the promised arrival time to be given another date and time, response given ‘van was sent at midday’ - I can assure you no one arrived.
