    Highly recommended

Michael was excellent from start to finish. He really listened to our needs and took the time to understand our house and lifestyle before making any recommendations. Based on his previous experience, he suggested practical solutions that would work best for us, which we found really helpful. The plans he produced are excellent – thoughtful, clear and perfectly suited to our house and the way we live. Professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with – we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Met with Michael, discussed our thoughts. He was very helpful and not pushy. Agreed to commission his services. Survey undertaken, design plans produced and once layout agreed structural drawings (and calcs) followed. Really good service, including quick response following design change suggested by our builder during the works.

Residential architectural design in Woking, Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area

I'm Michael Cook, the architectural technician behind Reveal Design & Build. I've worked in residential design since 2007 and established Reveal in 2018, helping homeowners plan loft conversions, house extensions and internal alterations.

You'll deal directly with me to discuss your ideas, understand the space you need and develop a practical design for your home. I explain the stages clearly, from the measured survey and initial layouts through to planning and the technical drawings needed for your project.

Services include:

• Measured building surveys

• Existing and proposed 2D floor plans, elevations and sections

• Loft conversion and house extension design

• Internal layout alterations

• Planning applications and permitted development advice

• Lawful Development Certificate applications

• Building Regulations drawings

• Coordination of structural calculations through external engineers

Whether you want a more practical kitchen and dining space, an extra bedroom or a better use of your existing layout, I can help you explore the options before building work starts. Planning advice is based on your property and proposal, with applications prepared where required.

Reveal provides the architectural design and drawing service. Structural calculations are prepared by external engineers, and construction is carried out by your appointed builder.

Based in Woking, I work with homeowners in Guildford and nearby Surrey towns. Get in touch to arrange an initial consultation and discuss what you'd like to achieve.
