Jesse was working across the road and I asked him to come and look at some loose tiles on the rear of my roof. Unfortunately he found the cause was rot on the wall plate supporting the roof. He came back 2 days later and stripped the roof down to the bare timbers. He carefully cut out all the rot and replaced it with new wood, then rebuilt the roof with new membrane, battens and tiles. Looks fantastic. Probably as it did 200 years ago when the house was built. He kept me well informed throughout the job and explained exactly what he was doing. A very high quality job with no corners cut.

Having a problem with my roof I called a local contractor and left my details. The contractor didn’t return my call so I contacted Richard’s roofing after checking check a trader. I left a message on Mr Richard’s mobile and was contacted promptly and informing him of my problem he arranged a home visit 2 days later. On inspection of my roof it was apparently clear that a roof overhaul was required. Within 3 weeks of this visit scaffolding had been erected and a date set for the following week to start work on repairing the roof. The work has been carried to a very high professional standard.

Jesse and his sons recently recovered/retiled my double garage and outbuilding (May 2026, Glastonbury). Very responsive from first contact, followed up with written quote as promised, commenced work at the precise time and date pre-agreed. He runs a tight ship and his sons are proper hard workers. No messing about, time wasting or cutting corners. Attention to detail, quality finishing (eg rendering on edges, plaster soffit repairs). Delivered as per quote with no game playing on the final numbers. I can wholly recommend Richards Roofing.

Jesse and his team turned up to replace the tiles on my old barn, replace the felting and wooden battons and installed a PVC dry verge.
