Hello, my name is Rich Reid, and I have been a handyman for several years (as well as an Artist, father, partner, teacher for many more).

I love to work with my hands and having recently moved to the area and joined Checkatrade so I can help you with all kinds of tasks around the home.

I have all the tools I will ever need and varied experience of many different kinds of properties.

Past clients have commented on my friendliness and reasonable up-front prices and satisfaction with the care I have taken in the tasks they couldn't do or just haven't got the time or tools for.

It's important for me to do the task well no matter how small it may be.

Here's a list of handyman tasks I can do for you.

Flat pack and furniture assembly (I've done so many of these I should change my name to Alan Key)

Home Improvement & Installation:

• Hanging: Pictures, mirrors, curtains, blinds.
• Mounting: TVs, shelves, brackets.
• Installation: Doorbells, smart home devices
• Weatherproofing: Sealing windows and doors, installing weather stripping.
• Caulking and Silicone work around sinks, baths, showers and windows

General Home Repairs & Maintenance:

• Minor Plumbing: Fixing leaky taps, replacing taps, replacing showerheads, repairing toilet flush mechanisms
• Minor Electrical: Replacing light fixtures, changing outlets and switches, troubleshooting basic electrical issues.
• Carpentry: Fixing squeaky doors, repairing damaged door frames, installing shelves, assembling flat-pack furniture, basic wood repairs.
• Painting & Plasterboard repairs: Touch-up painting, patching small and larger holes in walls, caulking around windows and doors.
• General Maintenance: Replacing light bulbs, changing air filters, lubricating hinges, tightening loose handles and knobs.

Rich went above and beyond and always communicated well throughout the task to make me feel at ease.
