External Rendering on back of house
I chose Checkatrade to source a contractor to complete the re- rendering of the back of my house after my original contractor suffered a non work related injury and could not complete the job. Initially Liam (RJL Rendering) was great, communicating on a regular basis and came to complete the works quite quickly. Unfortunately when the render was applied we had a period of heavy rain which was area off. No problems said Liam “we’ll return and complete when the weather gets better”. Despite many promises on texts, 10 months later works not complete and no responses to my messages since June!!!

Do not trust this man. He came to sort the render and then unfortunately we were hit with a number of storms. He came up with x number of excuses about not being able to return to fix the storm damage and has since fallen off the face of the earth. He cannot be trusted.

My initial experience was positive with great and open communication and a high quality of work. Unfortunately the render came off in the storms and having initially promised to come and fix it, completely understandably weather permitting, we stayed in contact. Then he fell off the face of the earth and has ignored my messages for the last 6 weeks. I totally understand that the weather is the root of it but some communication would have been helpful . I've waited several weeks before posting this but now it's just not on. Not to be relied on, despite promises, sadly.

Bay window re-build and render
First class from start to finish. Liam provided a quote and advised on the job in a very friendly and professional manner, answering questions at all times of the day. The communication before and during the work was fantastic. The work was carried out to a very high standard and the site was left tidy at the end of each day leaving a top quality finish on our bay window. We will definitely be using Liam and his team for future work and can’t recommend them enough.

Full wall and ceiling plastering of one room
Punctual, value for money, professional and personal courtesy. They cleaned up after each visit and gave my mother advice on other potential jobs. We will be seeing them again.

Plastering en-suite walls and ceiling and hallway wall and ceiling
Wow, I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more professional service. After providing a quote Liam then answered additional questions in a timely and helpful manner. The work done is to an extremely high standard. All gaps previous left by an electrician were sorted and the spotlights correctly spaced. The finish around the loft hatch and between wall and ceilings are crisp. In fact they ended up doing an extra, plastering just to ensure the join between ceiling and wall was perfect. The whole space looking so much better. My home was left tidy and clean.
