  Complete house refurbishment including, Wall ties, damp, new Kitchen and bathroom and Landscaping

  Rodney is probably the most knowledgeable and capable builder that I have ever dealt with. He and his team are very conscientious. I have used them a number of times over the years and no matter what problem arises, he and his team overcome it. They are cheerful, tidy, polite and on site early. I would absolutely recommend R. Johnston and Sons to anyone considering any type of building work, Paving,Driveways, Landscaping and Fencing etc.

  Whole house gutted and restored

  I cannot fault any aspect of the job. The refurbishment went to plan. The costings were accurate. The building work was to a very high standard. Rod and his sons were problem solvers, improving on the plans and getting round the inevitable difficulties that come up in a build. They are also incredibly nice people and a pleasure to have in the house.

  Hard landscaping, construction, refurbishment.

  Rodney and his team have been doing building work for me since 2003: hard landscaping, a new studio/garage, atrium conservatory, re-roofing existing pool room and conservatory, car port. He does an excellent job, is completely trustworthy and really concerned to ensure his customers are fully satisfied. He doesn’t cut corners but does a very good job. Highly recommended.

  Complete and extensive internal reorganisation and refurbishment of house including opening up rooms, changing configuration adding new bathrooms and kitchen. Also new windows and bi fold doors. Later also converted garage and added extension to make a granny annex.

  From the day we first met Rodney I could not have been happier with the excellent quality of their work, their professionalism and the great care they took to do the best job possible. Any problems were quickly solved and they finished on time and within budget. What I really also liked was the obvious pride they all took in ensuring the best possible outcome. We were so pleased that when we needed a garage conversion and extension for a granny annex, I didn't even look elsewhere as I knew Rodney would again do a first class job and at a fair price. Would definitely highly recommend them.
