Mick diagnosed the problem with the roof felt. Work was undertaken and then monitored over a period of time. The damp issue was not resolved and Mick came back and said that further work was needed. He was confident the issue would be fixed and offered his 10 year guarantee. The work was undertaken however the ingress. I contacted Mick. He said there was nothing more he could do. He was adamant the work needed doing, even though the problem was unresolved. Inspection of the work showed that poor quality materials had been used and the repairs were substandard.

Please avoid to save money and disappointment! Hired Roofsolver to fix a leaking gutter. Ended up replacing parts with incompatible fixings. Called the company to arrange a revisit to fix the issue. Scheduled two revisits, both times they were a no-show. Didn’t have the decency to call prior to say they couldn’t make it on both occasions. Completely unprofessional and has failed to provide an invoice despite numerous requests.

We simply asked for a water butt to be installed but when the owner of this company suggested we needed to do some work on our roof. The initial quote was for £320 but I ended up paying £870 for the work I did not ask for. In addition, the water butt was not properly installed. I asked for an overflow pipe to be installed but the trader just could not bothered to do this. So I need to check each time the water butt is full and then turn the tap on. I can enumerate a number of other things which are wrong. He verbally stipulated that the roofing is guaranteed but I received no guarantee.

Mick from Roofsolver Direct called me within 10mins of me posting my job on Checkatrade. I sent him photos of the issues we had with leaky gutters and he replied with a quote within 15mins. Luckily he had availability to repair the gutters the next morning and the job was complete by midday! Would definitely recommend!
