£2k witheld, comunication is dead - AVOID RHYS

I paid £2,000 for a dropped kerb, deposit, licese fee, application fee, kerbs, of which he has nothing and refuses to even return my money. I have been asking for a return the last 2 months but always come with excuses. I have been waiting for this job over 6-8 months, its hopeless. HE HAS STOLEN MY MONEY and refuses to give back unless i remove my reviews. He broke into the footpath without permision. AVOID Rhys, he is effectively a scammer, check his company house and failed businesses. Do not be swayed by the fake reviews on Checkatrade.

It annoys me that this company has been let back on here to disappoint other customers. I activated the Checkatrade guarantee and got maximum payout and got them removed. but they should be removed permanently. They clearly get fake reviews to build their score then go out and do their worst in the community and I mean their worst!

Driveway and drainage

Failed to complete the work to the agreed standard and once they had been paid they completely stopped communication. There is a word for this kind of builder and it originates in the wild west. Drains not connected to anything, not fitted properly, site not cleared properly.

Setting up fencing panel extension

The job was given to them as they said both panel bays could be set up within a day. But they arrived very late and only able to put up one and said they didn't have the time for the remainder and came back the next day for that. Nearly 3 months in and one of the fencing panels have fallen over due to the strong winds. When trying to get in touch with them the person whom I spoke to before was not responding to my messages and rejected my calls. They haven't got back to me on when they can come to repair the panel and this is causing a great deal of inconvenience.

Garden fencing

The team did a change of fencing from wooden posted feather board to concrete posted panels. The quality of the work looked good at a distance, but not so good when examined closer (posts unstable after days, nails sticking out of panels, pavement slab uncut) I had contacted and requested a date to fix outstanding issues with the job and had the fix date pushed back multiple times over 2 weeks. e.g. Within 2 days of the work being done, 1 post had moved enough to be a concern of pulling the fence down and an uncut pavement slab - noticed by the team when leaving - left unable to lay flat.
