Job looked very professional when first done but a few months later water coming through bedroom and bathroom walls. Rutililus came and looked at the job and told me it was coming from an old overflow pipe which if it was would only affect small area. Had a specialist roofer and a house insurance assessor out who both tell me the felt has been cut too short and therefore cannot be positioned correctly on gutters. Rutililus are claiming they did not cut felt and not taking responsibility. In my opinion they should have made sure the job was done correctly at the time
Response from Rutilus Concrete Gutter Replacements Limited
We completed this job on 5 May 2020, We received a call in December 2020 telling us that there was water running down the wall. Our fitter went out to do the service call, and could find nothing wrong with the installation. He did note that there was a ridge tile slipped and a tile was missing – which he showed and explained to customer that water would be getting in through the hole in the roof. Received another call in January saying water was still running down wall, and an Insurance Assessor had been out. Customer has also had a family friend who is also a roofer go and look at the property. This roofer, phoned and spoke with our fitter and has sent photographs. The allegation that the felt has been cut to short is unwarranted. We are waiting the report from the Insurance Assessor to enable us to proceed further with this complaint.
