Satisfied with work done but unhappy with the way the cost escalated from about £200 to £450, then £450 to £1100 (which I agreed to and stated that I was not prepared to pay any more). Then phone call from employer telling me the cost would be £1710! I told him I wouldn't pay any more than £1100 which he then agreed.(VAT was not included)

I’m sorry to hear that you were not happy with the cost. However the initial job was a small one (hence the low cost) We simply advised you as professionals on the additional work and explained the process and cost, in this case replacement fascia board rather than capping, a new lead flashing across the complete wall as well as installing cavity support trays along the length of the roof. You were told the cost before the extra work was started and chose to proceed. The misunderstanding about the cost when I called was simply a miscommunication between us and I didn’t think it was worthy of a negative rating. I do apologise but wish perhaps you would have mentioned when we were on site so we could have been clear.
