  Demolition of existing front garden wall and rebuilding.

  It was very difficult to get a brick layer to undertake this work but See Why Brickwork provided an acceptable quote and undertook the work with care and enthusiasm.

  Garden Wall part built by Craig Young see why bricks

  Agreed instructions for footings which I had dug out 300mm deep using levels x 600mm wide as he asked for he came the day after and asked me to dig it another 300mm - 500mm deeper which he was then satisfied with.He now says I dug it too deep. He Set out the columns wrong and got aggressive shouting and screaming and threatened to knock the wall down scaring my wife and kids who came to the window with all the commotion, he then measured it and agreed he was wrong and said he would rectify it. Last phone call more screaming at me walked ofthe job after being paid with job only half finished

  I completely disagree with the client’s opinion. They have breached the contract signed by him. They consistently changed measurements, drawings and instructions. I carried out 40% additional work and provided a discount. They had been aggressive throughout and since providing a new contract for further additional works the client suddenly appears unhappy with my services to date. I have emails, texts, contracts and photos that I am happy to share to support my compliance of our agreement. I have been harassed and belittled by them. I deny “screaming and shouting” however will admit to standing up for myself to a highly irate and difficult person (in my opinion and experience) in order to defend myself. The work to date has been satisfactory to them otherwise he would not have paid for these services. I worked long hours through the week and weekends despite poor weather conditions to complete the work to the deadline given. I have also paid for material out of my own pocket to keep the job going, the cost of which I have not requested from them. This is the first negative review I have received for my work which is upsetting as I pride myself on customer satisfaction.

  Demolishing an old front garden retaining wall and building a new wall.

  Craig Young (Seewhy Brickwork) arrived when agreed to provide a quote which was very competitive, talked through the requirements for the job, consulted in detail over the bricks to be used and advised on construction. He came on time to do the work over 3 days and worked hard. He completed on time and left the site very clean and tidy. He was adaptable and was willing and able to amend the project as requested. All in all we are very satisfied with the quality of Craig's work, his helpful attitude and his expertise. Would thoroughly recommend him for any brickwork requirements.

  Rebuilding a wall and a set of steps.

  Craig is a very pleasant, organised and hard working person. He responded very quickly to my call , arrived on time and clarified my requirements after explaining various options and potential problems. A draft agreement and estimated start date arrived almost over night. He produced very good work and I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a very competent and knowledgeable bricklayer.

  Single storey kitchen and garage extention

  I can not recommend or praise See -why brickwork , Mr Craig young highly enough, he has quoted a good price for job and started a couple of days later turning up at 7am and working every day until job completed , The quality of his work is just outstanding and we are over the moon with what has been done, also he is a most pleasant and nice person explaining everything to my questions , I would really recommend anyone reading this to not hesitate and give Craig a ring , you WONT be disappointed .
