    Resolve an issue with the underfloor heating

    The service engineer failed to diagnose the issue correctly, which is excusable if a proper amount of time is spent on the diagnosis. However, on each occasion the engineer was in a rush to leave my house and had to be brought back in. Serviceteam also failed to communicate the issue to the manufacturer correctly and proposed a very expensive - and unnecessary solution. Thankfully, after two Serviceteam visits, I decided to speak to the manufactuer directly and resolved the issue through another company.

We stand by our diagnosis that both 2-port valves were faulty, one was jammed, the other noisy — as observed during our visit. Once replaced, we identified a further fault with the mixing valve and consulted the manufacturer, Ambiente, who advised a full valve replacement. This was the guidance we followed when quoting the additional works. We understand you later received conflicting advice directly from Ambiente and resolved the issue via another route, which we’re glad to hear. It was certainly never our intention to mislead or overcharge. We based our recommendations on the manufacturer’s guidance at the time and regret that this caused frustration. While we cannot offer a refund for works completed (which we believe were necessary), we recognise your concerns and have shared this case internally to help improve communication and diagnostics for future cases. We’re always striving to provide honest, reliable service, and we regret that on this occasion you were left unsatisfied. If you’d like to discuss this further, we’re happy to talk.

    Heating issues in the two showers

    Paid £400+ to fix cold showers. [Company] insisted on thermostatic cartridges but sourced wrong parts. Then, without diagnostics, they installed incompatible mixer valves (1untested, 1uninstalled). Charged £240 despite NO resolution, breaching their "redo/refund" guarantee. When I disputed payment, they threatened a £200 "retaliation fee" for chargebacks – extortionate and unprofessional. Their work is inept, their guarantees worthless, and their response to complaints is bullying. Avoid this shameless company. They take your money, ignore accountability, and punish those who speak up.

    Toilet pipe water leak

    Quick and well done. Was prepared and arrived with the correct replacement parts. It’s very helpful to have the option to send pictures of the problem so the plumber has a good idea of what is needed

    Gas Boiler replacement quote

    I asked for a quote to replace my ancient boiler having found Serviceteam as an approved installer. They were quick to respond and rapidly updated a tentative online estimate following a site visit, for which he was on time, and pleasant and friendly to deal with, giving good, clear advice. I'm now waiting for the next step: the installation.
