  Lintel installed

A job well done: lintel installed, wall above it stabilised, cracks covered. Excellent communication: it's rare to find a builder who keeps his word and comes when agreed, or lets you know if he got held up and arranges and alternative date. Nicely tidied up after work.

Reduced garden retaining wall in height and built/tilef new steps

Steve gave great advice abd different ideas on how he would approach reducing the wall and building new steps which immediately instilled confidence in his expertise to do a good job. Steve gave me a fixed price quote which included labour, materials and new porcelain tiles abd booked me in 2 weeks later. Steve's communication was excellent throughout, and we discussed a couple of issues which arose as he took out the old steps whuch made the job more complicated, but what impressed me was that he didn't try and up the price he gave me like some trades might try. My job took a little longer than expected because of the additional work around we agreed, but that wasn't a reflection on Steve as he grafts hard every day. I would highly recommend Steve, he gives sound advice, and im really pleases with the quality of his work.

They are legends! Excellent work for my window lintel

Thank you, Steve. I cannot express how much I appreciate their excellent work. They were extremely punctual, delivered 100% high-quality workmanship, and offered a very reasonable price. They are truly legends! I would highly recommend them without any hesitation.

  Window removed and bricked up

We had Steven come and remove an old window and door for us in the utility room and bring the window area up. He also moved two door frames for us. Amazing work, really nice guy!

  Internal brickwork

Steven from SGM was extremely helpful. I had listed the job as we were having some trouble with water leaking through bricks. Steven gave us great advice which did not require any work to be done. Steven then returned to advise us again on internal brickwork.
