  Brick / Concrete Structural Repairs

  5 star Chimney Restoration

SGS Carpentry and Roofing completed a full chimney restoration for us in just 3 days. The work included two new pots, flaunching, new leadwork, and the brickwork raked out and re-grouted. The finish is excellent. Sam was professional from start to finish and worked very efficiently. He's friendly, and he gave us a full breakdown of costs before any work began, so there were no surprises. He also worked around our tight timeline because of the weather, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended.

  Versatile, professional and thorough

Sam returned to us after completing a major renovation in December 2025 to do some tiling in a bathroom, replace some faulty guttering, replace and straighten some fence posts and panels and fill and re-plaster a section of wall inside. As ever Sam gave us control and provided professional advice and options, always encouraging us to make the choices that we wanted. He is always respectful of us as he works, keeping things clean and tidy and keeping us informed. Sam is always checking we are happy and is a great person to work with. We'll certainly ask Sam when we have other works we want done

  Considerate, thorough and reassuring

This was the most major work we've ever done on a property but when we came across Sam it all fell into place. We have 2 small children and it was remarkable how he worked around us and was so considerate and tidy throughout. We had walls knocked and built, plastering, electricals, kitchen and bathroom and some bespoke carpentry and Sam managed it all, always checking we were happy with his plans and execution and never making us feel like we asked silly questions. He worked tirelessly for us and with great humour too. He is now a go-to for us for anything. Thanks again Sam.

Perfect Pocket Doors & Flawless Service

We recently asked Sam at SGS to create and install two pocket doors fitted as part of our kitchen renovation, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, communication was excellent everything was clearly explained, timelines were met, and we always felt kept in the loop. Sam really listened to what we wanted and great attention to detail. The finish is spot on and has completely transformed the space. Reliable, professional, and genuinely easy to work with , we’d highly recommend to anyone !

  I don’t use anyone else

Sam is brilliant. Have used many times now for various jobs, the most recent was a to install a garden pathway. Nothing is ever too much trouble and Sam will go above and beyond to get the best result. I do not use or even consider using anyone else for jobs

  Great experience!

Sam was great and approachable. Understood what we needed in terms of addtional wall support so we could later install new cabinets. Communication leading up to the project was great - answered all our questions. Would highly recommend.
