Mike was faultless in the many jobs he completed around our recently bought house. Punctual, polite with a great work ethic and eye for detail. He has undertook several jobs around our house including plastering of ceilings, repair work to our windows along with a large extension to make our small house bigger. Always on the end of the phone when seeking advice and is great with dogs.

Mike was incredibly helpful during the quoting stage for some major renovation work on a property we're in the process of buying. He took the time to talk us through the building survey findings, gave honest and detailed advice, and turned around a quote really quickly. Even though no work has been carried out yet, his responsiveness and professionalism have been brilliant - we’ll definitely be coming back to him if all goes ahead. We contacted Smart Building Solutions to quote for a large raised porcelain patio. Mike was quick to respond and came to take a look at our garden at a time that suited us. Mike was extremely knowledgeable and helped to guide us through the process of design and build. When the time came to start the patio Mike and his team showed up on time and provided a summary of work completed at the end of each day. Started well, Mike presented himself a professional builder. But very quickly mistakes were made and with these came lots of excuses. We are patient people, but after 3 months- a lot longer than promised - we have been left with a badly fitted kitchen due to poor workmanship, leaks, damaged units, scags in the walls due to consistent carelessness,a floor than cannot have any flooring laid as it’s been left so badly&a loo that’s unusable as it’s been left unfinished. Mike is now ignoring us. We’ve worked hard for years to be able to afford these works to our home and he’s left us devastated
