Company info
My name’s Sam Chatwin, and I started SMC Windows back in 2000. We fit the finest windows, doors and conservatories you’ll find anywhere. Birmingham-based, we service domestic and commercial customers across the UK.
I learnt all about the trade from my dad and grandad. They were in the business for many years, and taught me everything I know about doing a great job. I worked with them both before I set up shop for myself.

Customers are amazed when they return to find their project finished to a high standard and everything tidied up. It’s something we take great pride in.
Real eye for detail
Our customers say I’ve got a real eye for detail. They know they can rely on us to add those all-important finishing touches to windows, doors and conservatories. I often advise them on the best colours, finishes and effects to go for. So if you need any ideas or inspiration, I’d be happy to help.
More than just expert fitters
There’s more to us than just fitting the best doors, windows and conservatories. Our flexible property maintenance service is very popular with customers, as is our traditional window cleaning round. My grandad only ever used tissue paper and glass cleaner, and so do we. There’s nothing quite like it get your windows gleaming.
Proper written quotes
Before we get cracking, I’ll go away and write you a properly priced quote. That’s another lesson I learnt from an early age. It’s the only way to make sure we’re all on the right track from the start.

Repairing door.
Sam was quick to communicate from the outset over text message and offered availability quickly. It was just a quick job requiring the rehanging of a loose patio door to reduce a draught but Sam gave me the advice and attention as if it was a far bigger job. Friendly and courteous.
