Extension and structural steelwork
Had Archie in to fit steels and remove external wall on a Victorian terrace as well as build and extension off the back of the house. He was reliable, versatile and all work has been completed to a very high standard. Would recommend Archie to anyone needing building work done.

Slate roof
Archie re done our failing slate roof. He talked us through each step and we are very pleased with the end product. There’s no water getting in the house anymore!

Replacement kitchen in rental property
Archie fitted a new kitchen for me in one of my rentals. He had a tight timeframe to work with as he completed the works whilst the tenant was on holiday. Overall I’m very satisfied, the invoice was for the amount quoted and the work was completed in the timeframe provided, will use again.

Created an opening from house into garage
Work was conducted to a good standard and some good ideas were suggested along the way, which were taken up. Final gloss work was a little untidy but overall I ended up with a great product. Archie was very polite and I was more that happy to give him a key and give him in the house.

Re-pointing of interior stone walls using lime mortar and laying of irregular sandstone flooring with lime mortar joints
Excellent, the finished walls and floor look amazing, the finish is of a very high standard. Archie did not do anything without discussing it with us first to make sure that we were happy for him to proceed, explaining the process of each step and what the end result would look like. His workmanship and attention to detail is of a very high standard. Both he and Charlie were very polite, friendly and tidied up each day. We would highly recommend Archie Smithson, he is a craftsman.
