Poor / Non-existant Communication
We had a great meeting with Hugh the principal at SSL where he sold us his product and business. He measured up for a stairlift and provided a quote which we accepted and paid a deposit with the work due to be carried out in a little short of a month. From the time of payment onwards he has completely dis-appeared. We tried to get confirmation of the installation date and then, unfortunately had to cancel the installation. Since then Hugh, or his business, has failed to answer any phone calls or messages left on the Company portal. Easyglide stairlift
I phoned southdown stairlifts on Tuesday for a quote for a stairlift installation I spoke to Hugh who came over the same day received the quote early that evening on Wednesday after agreeing the price l got a time for Thursday afternoon . It was installed by two very nice chaps called Matt and Lance after less than 3 hours the job was done .They showed how to use the controls and all the safety controls everything was completed efficiently from my first phone call to completion . Excellent service fom a local company
Contacted Southdown lifts on Monday 19th with a view to hire one. He called on Tuesday 20st to assess and advise. After agreeing what I wanted, he said he could install the lift that afternoon. It all went to plan. Lift was installed later that day. Couldn't fault anything from start to finish. Excellent Stairlift Repairers
I needed my stairlift fixed as for 13 days it had been out of action and I’d been let down by the installers. Lance knew the stairlift I had and after explaining the problem he was able to give me a rough idea of what the likely problem was, an idea if it was what the likely cost would be. They supplied, fitted & commissioned a stairlift at my parents house.

We are certified installers for Thyssenkrupp stairlifts which includes the HomeGlide for straight rails and Flow X for straight and curve rail designs.

If you need a stairlift for a narrow staircase the Flow X is the best solution, it can be installed onto staircases where other leading stairlift brands cannot. With seat swivel technology safely controlling the rotation direction to maximise available space for feet and knees whilst travelling, the seat can face down the staircase which requires less space than sitting across the staircase.
