  Compliance work

  My father is elderly and is due to have a kitchen renovation. Before the renovation could start the electrics needed a complete overhaul as nothing has been done to the house since the 1970’s. I contacted Steve at Stamel Ltd and explained my dilemma. He finalised the job within a few days and made safe many areas of concern to him, complete with all relevant compliance certificates in order. He was most respectful of my Father and explained all that he was doing along the way. The house was spotless before he left, you’d never known he’d been there. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

  Fault Finding

  Electrical fault diagnostics and rewiring

  Steve did a thoroughly professional job in diagnosing our initial fault (a mouse had chewed through a cable in the loft) fixing it plus correcting faults in the wiring of the original installation. It is so good to find a tradesman who has high standards. Great value for money.

  A full electrical check of the house and repair

  After a full inspection of the house I was told that it would take ONE further full day to rectify all the faults, so I would be charged two days in total. At the end of that day I was then told another day was needed, at £300 a day. I should have been told at the first inspection that he didn't know how many days it would take, so I could continue or get another quote.

  Client had many unknown faults - most caused by people she had used before. Never quoted for repairs - day rate+parts she was told & at least one day. It took 2. Was charged standard rate plus parts. Non Payer action is being taken against her.

  Fuseboard / Consumer Unit Installation

  Fitted new consumer units, tested all circuits, fitted timers for storage heaters

  The work was completed professionally, and in a friendly manner. Where issues were uncovered from previous work, practical solutions,were provided. I could not be happier and highly recommend Stamel.

  Full House Rewire

  Very good electrician. Knows the regulations and explains what he will be doing. New earth rod, New fuse board and New Wiring for the whole house and its come out look amazing. Well priced, gets the work done and gives the house back as you gave it to him with no mess.
