    Bathroom Renovation and Damp Remediation

    Posted 11 June

Steve investigated a damp problem in our shower room and found that the existing wet room was leaking. After stripping it out, he discovered the damp had spread into the hall. He replaced damaged and rotten flooring, treated the timber for woodworm, and installed a new bathroom with bath, WC, basin and wall tiling. He later returned to fit a wall vent when further damp appeared. Steve kept us informed throughout, was reliable and professional, and always left the area clean and tidy at the end of the day. We are very pleased with the work and would happily recommend him. Excellent workmanship.

    Front porch extension

    Posted 22 April

Quite a delayed start but communication started well, very helpful in the planning and preparation works. Then couldn’t get their usual carpenter so the job progressed slowly with others. A few small issues with the roof structure and roofing but was aware the usual carpenter wasn’t available so they carried on until the lead person on the job broke his arm elsewhere. They didn’t complete the work after this, didn’t hear from them, and I had to get other companies in to finish including fixing some issues left behind at more expense then would have liked. Not the full job that was agreed.

    Bathroom refurbishment

    Posted 02 March

The house had a downstairs wet room that had started to get damp. I asked Steve to look into it and from his investigations found the tiles and flooring had been leaking and the joists were rotten. He gutted the bathroom and found that the joists had woodworm there and into the hallway. He treated the infected timber with chemical spray and lay new water resistant chipboard flooring and plywood. He then tiled the floor and wall, fitted new bath, toilet, sink and towel radiator. To fit the towel rail radiator he moved pipework. Loose plaster was chipped off and replaced. All excellent

    Kitchen Refurb

    Posted 29 January

Steve and his team completed a kitchen refurb which involved bricking up existing windows and door, installing new window and french doors, a new ceiling and installation of a new kitchen. Work was carried out to a high standard and nothing was too much trouble. Communication throughout the job with Steve and his team were good and they ensured I had use of washing machine and cooker for as long as possible whilst work was taking place.

    Flat Refurbishment

    Posted 05 August 2025

I needed to get a 2 bedroom flat into a saleable condition. Everything needed replacing, kitchen, bathroom, patio doors, internal doors, front door, carpets, walls/ceilings repaired and painted. Steve's communication and advice was great, always replied quickly or phoned me. His team were really good too, always trying to resolve things - kitchen plan a bit out, so tweaked things to make it work and discussing with me. The job went on little longer, as I asked for extra bits (painting the flat), but nothing was too much trouble and I'm really pleased with the flat.
