Agreement to re-roof two elevations of a bungalow, time keeping was debatable, completed one elevation, then when it came to fitting hip tiles, I realised he had over extended himself, with regard to his ability and failed to replace hip tiles in a professional manner. I decided to end the agreement, and could almost see the relief on his face. From my experience with him, he probably ok for replacing a few tiles, but anything bigger, I am not so sure. For 4 half days, he charged £2000.
Response from Stover Roofing
I’m a very fair person and take pride in my work and always do work to a high standard which all my ratings reflect.
Sadly, in this instance this person was just trying to rip hard-working people off.
He hires and fires, let you do half in an attempt to get for free!
I was the 3ed roofer to take on the job, one before me and one as I was there.
Initially he didn’t want the hip tiles done the hip tiles where just something to complain about as he insisted i use the old ones with cement still stuck on them I advised him that he needs new ones but insisted to make them waterproof.
Only to get a bad review, which I can’t say no more, the hip tiles was nothing to do with me, my work was done for free
As for time keeping I was back and forth for a week and half in frost and snow and not four days.
When confronted all he wanted was money to remove the review
I'd rather have this one bad review and potentially affect my business then play his games.
Please check my reviews. I'm on other platforms all highly rated.
