  Carpet Supply & Fit

  Posted 1 week ago

Brayley has fitted four bedroom and two staircase carpets in my home.

Brayley has been reliable and responsive throughout my communication with him. He has been to our house on several occasions, as we were not ready for all the carpets to be fitted at the same time. On one occasion we made a mistake with how much carpet we ordered and Brayley came back to the house on several occasions without complaint, due to our own error. He has always been transparent, professional and polite.

  Response from Strata Flooring Solutions

Thank you for your feedback, Gary. We’re pleased you were happy with the speed of our work, although disappointed to hear you weren’t satisfied with the tidiness. We would like to clarify that all leftover materials and waste were removed from the property, and all stairs and landing areas were hoovered upon completion. We left the property in a condition we believed was clean and appropriate for the work carried out. However, we’re sorry if this didn’t meet your expectations and will take your feedback on board. level the floor and install laminate floori

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with my experience with this contractor and would not recommend his services.I hired him to level the floor and install laminate flooring. He completed only part of the job and failed to finish as agreed. The floor was not properly levelled, the laminate installation was left incomplete, and the door trim, which was included in the agreed price, was never fitted. He repeatedly promised to return and finish the work.I paid in full, but afterwards communication became very difficult. We arranged several dates for him to return, but he failed to show up. He then promised alternative dates but did not follow through and eventually stopped responding to my messages. It is very disappointing that communication was quick when he wanted the job, but changed completely once payment had been made.I am now left with unfinished flooring and may have to pay someone else to complete it. Based on my experience, I would not recommend his services.

  Response from Strata Flooring Solutions

Thank you for your review. Before starting, I explained the timber underneath was deteriorating/rotting and could not be made perfectly level. We agreed one bag of feather finish as a temporary fix, as you advised the kitchen was later being replaced. The door bars you supplied did not fit and replacements were not included in my price. I still offered to return when next in the area and fit one as goodwill. Unfortunately, after receiving abusive messages, communication ended. Our many other reviews reflect the standard of service we normally provide.

Screed and new flooring installed throughout.

Really happy with the work done for me. From the first quote visit everything felt professional and well organised. Brayley remembered exactly what I wanted, talked me through all the options properly and didn’t try to upsell me into expensive products for the sake of it. The floor itself was very uneven in places before they started, but they’ve managed to get it looking amazing and completely transformed the space. The finish on the herringbone LVT looks so clean. They were also incredibly quick and efficient.
