The project started on 12 Sep 2022 and was abandoned on 1st Nov 2022 after the roof failed building control inspection 2nd time. Parminder Singh did not follow the approved architects plans for the roof; avoided being in present during all building control inspections except 1. He lacks understanding of structural requirements, building regulations, showed disregard to health and safety of his team (exposure to boiler fumes). Used wrong materials: porous blocks for manholes, failed roof installation twice. The roof and drainage had to be redone. He left behind overflowing skip, hired toilet, etc.
Response from Tatla Development Ltd
Hello.Sorry to hear about the issues raised. The real problem here is that you had agreed with us for a fibreglass roof & then changed your mind to replace it with a rubber roof. Building control will not cover the roof unless the entire structure has been approved by them.We have had multiple building control inspection's & they were approved, that’s how we got to the roofing stage. We did not receive any payments from you to cover the roofing stage as we agreed, so work did not continue. We can categorically confirm building control checked all drains, block and beams while on site with us and approved it- that’s how we moved to next stage and for clarity, you was available at the time of inspection. You haven’t paid us to complete the roofing stage, nor the cost to move your boiler flue from old building to new building. We cannot continue working when payments are well overdue,we run a business not a charity. Additionally, payments are missing for flooring stage & insulation materials we have paid from our pocket, that is also your responsibility to pay.
