  Bathroom design, supply and fit

  The worst experience I’ve ever had with any trade. Payment expected in full in advance but no refunds. Design faults, mis ordering, rude, sarcastic and unapologetic. Avoid at all costs

  Bathroom refurbishment

  We had excellent service from reliable, expert workmen who were willing to do that little bit extra and are very happy with our lovely new bathroom, as well as a boiler service and water cylinder replacement. We highly recommend The Honest Hub for their high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

  Fitting of exterior flue extension

  The quality of the work carried was fine - no issues at all. The quote for the flue fitting included an estimated 2 hours labour. However, the job took around 45 minutes in total. When I questioned the Honest Hub about this, I was told the quote was final and to be paid in full. If the job had taken 1hr 10mins, I wouldn't have questioned the labour charge. However, I ended paying £160+VAT for an hours labour. The quality of the work was fine but I will definitely not use them again.

  We price jobs based on our engineers' site visit, they base the quotes on the worst case scenario to cover us, if we handed out discounts to each customer where we finished a job 15 minutes before we got to the next hour we wouldn't make any money and ultimately that is why I run a business. Also with what you are saying you would be happy for engineers to potentially prolong a job and charge you more but you aren't happy for them to come in, do a really good job, in good time and pay what you are quoted, that's ridiculous. A price is a price, not an hourly rate, they are two completely different things unfortunately.

  Water leak under sink where the washing machine and dishwasher connect to the mains.

  Repair to gas boiler

  Work was done within the quote, quick and efficient. Only ‘gripe’ is that problem was diagnosed during boiler service and a temporary fix was done. I was charged a call-out charge for this even though it coincided with the service visit.
