  Felt Roofing Repair

  Re-roofing and re-building the back of the garage

  I'm not happy with the job done. One part of the replacement felt roof has a lump and is not tightly attached to the first layer of the felt. Materials were not calculated properly; extra had to get ordered last minute resulting in different colour of bricks. The builder only mentioned after putting in the door and window that the structure of the wall is too weak for that. The electrical wires are left exposed without plastic housing. There was no proper management of this project; the manager wasn't on top of his numbers and left me to deal with his subcontractors. He left us in a mess.

  Hi, You did add an extra layer of felt for the roof which you didn't charge for. In regards to the roof, you were told that making it flat could cause problems for your neighbors due to the asbestos roof, which you declined. As for the different colored bricks, you were given the option and chose them yourself. You were informed from day one that the structure is weak, but you declined any extra work. Regarding the electrical work, you requested to leave it out as you wanted a consumer box on your 15cm thick wall. The materials weren't falling from the sky; I was out getting everything to ensure that everything was done properly. Everything was transparent, I don't know why you are making it out to be something that it's not. What mess are you referring to exactly, apart from your weak walls? We told you we would come back and fix everything, but you declined and were more concerned about giving a bad review.
