They installed a new tiled roof. Job looked OK to untrained eye. Showed the work to an experienced slater and he started to point out things that were not quite right. When he went up onto the roof he came back down with a list of problems. Tiles not nailed on. No proper ridge baton, only a few tile batons placed on top of each other. Ridge caps not straight and insulation not sealed down properly under the ridge caps. And so the list goes on. One of the worst jobs he has seen in 40 years of being a slater. Added to this the used the cheapest tiles on the market and charged a premium price.

air vent tiles fitted to roof barry was always available if there was any problems (not that there was many) dampness in loft space barry advised lack of ventilation on roof tiles were fitted dying up already
