    Thomas could not have provided a better experience. From start to finish he was helpful, professional and a lovely guy. The work done is to a brilliant standard at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. He was helpful in giving advice to ensure we had the best fit and finish and accommodated changes in his schedule to fit work in sooner. I would highly recommended Thomas to anyone in need of carpenter or joiner as he is one of the declining number of genuine tradesman who will give a top service! We will be booking him back in for more work when needed.

    I would highly recommend Thomas Tunstall. The service provided was completed ahead of schedule and we are absolutely thrilled with the results.     We are building engineers, having undertook a building survey of a grade 2 listed building we had to return to veiw under the ground floor, the floor boards had been polished, thomas was instructed to remove and refix floor boards with minimal damage, Thomas acheived this with little fuss, as a building engineer I would have no hesitancy in recommending Tunstalls for any type of joinery/carpentry works a good trades man, a rarity these day Opus Building Design & Surveying

    As my wife and I are both in our 70s and recently bought a new build house, we decided to have a second staircase handrail fitted for safety reasons. We contacted Thomas via the Checkatrade website. Thomas was courteous and arrived on time and gave us advice and ideas and quoted for the work. On completion, the handrail was very sturdy and looked really well. We would not hesitate to contact Thomas for any future work and can highly recommend him.

    Thomas replaced two solid doors downstairs in my house with glass ones. He measured up, suppled and fitted them. Kept me informed throughout and did a superb job. Makes such a difference to the light flowing through the house. Can absolutely recommend.

Hi everyone 

My name is Thomas and I’ve been working as a carpenter/Joiner for about 18 years now.


I first started out as an apprentice for a company I worked at for 15 years which specialised in making reception counters/furniture for schools and hospitals. 


Then moved to Lancaster because me and my wife had our first child (we needed babysitters 😂) I joined a company where I made bespoke bedroom furniture and fitted kitchens for domestic households for two years


Shortly after that I was fortunate enough to be able to set up my own business self-employed.


I’m confident in saying I specialise in
