Major renovations and bespoke garden office
Ian's skill is evident from the outset - he is honest and straight about what's possible, exploring the potential strengths and pitfalls of any work. He knows the building trade inside out and has a skilled team of longstanding colleagues to draw on. Our work was a potential test for any builder. Major rennovations in a small terraced cottage, which necessitated careful planning to the last inch. For example; the second toilet built in our old boiler cupboard is quietly life changing, our garden office - built to a high spec and a joy to work in.

Replaced flat roof with a pitched tiled roof on a Victorian property
Work was completed to a very high standard within budget and faster than planned. The team was professional and courteous and a pleasure to work with. The work was completed with care and attention to detail. The new roof has really added value to the property

Ground floor side extension
Extensive groundworks and structural work were required and completed in 4 weeks. The whole project was complete in 12 weeks whilst living in the property. The works were efficiently programmed and included rendered blockwork, flat and tiled roof, doors and windows, new drainage, walk-in wet room, underfloor heating, new electrics, tiling and oak parquet flooring etc.. As an architect I am sure I was a demanding client but we were very pleased with the finished result and I have since recommend Ian Richards to my neighbour who has put an beautiful new tiled roof on his locally Listed Building.
